Meet Patrick
Veteran. Author. Chaos Enthusiast.
Hey there! I’m Patrick —author, Navy veteran, and occasional painter. You’ve landed in my little corner of the internet, where I share stories, experiences, and some hard-earned lessons from life. Stick around if you’re into no-frills insights and a bit of creative exploration along the way.

As an author, I write real stories with real struggles. Fiction that hits hard. Stories that explore the realities of mental health, and resilience.
Patrick is an author, veteran, and cybersecurity student with a passion for storytelling, problem-solving, and exploring the complexities of the human mind. His debut novel, The Shattered Shield, weaves together themes of camaraderie, sacrifice, and resilience, drawing heavily from his decade-long service in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician. Specializing in maintaining radar systems, mission computers, and communication equipment on E-2C Hawkeyes and C-2A Greyhounds, he developed a deep appreciation for precision, responsibility, and teamwork—principles that continue to shape his writing and career.
Writing has long been a personal outlet, but in recent years, it has become something more—a way to translate personal experiences and the challenges of mental health into stories that resonate with readers. His first two books, The Shattered Shield and Broken Shadows and his short novella and prequel The Shattered Shield: Ghost Track, tackle these themes head-on, blending raw authenticity with engaging storytelling. While his future works explore new directions, the impact of real-world struggles and lived experiences will always be present in his approach to writing.
Beyond fiction, Patrick is an advocate for veteran mental health, engaging in support networks and using his blog as a platform to discuss personal reflections, writing, and life’s chaotic moments—all with a touch of humor and sarcasm. Creativity extends beyond writing into painting, a therapeutic practice that offers both focus and expression.
Currently, he is pursuing a career in cybersecurity, drawn to the constant challenges and evolving nature of the field. While his website remains a hub for his writing, future blog posts will dive into cybersecurity topics, reflecting his journey in a rapidly advancing industry.
When not writing, painting, or immersed in cybersecurity studies, he’s usually tinkering with computers, coding, building models, or working with retro tech. His ADHD-fueled curiosity ensures there’s always a new project on the horizon. Most importantly, he’s a father, and his kids have made their mark on his stories—sometimes even changing them entirely.
At the core of it all, he believes in telling real stories, embracing humor as a survival tool, and always pushing forward, no matter the challenge.
